After two years of neglect, the NACF Board of Trustees has opened the trails on the North Amherst Community Farm (formerly Simple Gifts). We are working to “resurrect” the farm as a community farm with more active participation of members of our local community. Toward that end, we have begun to maintain the walking/jogging trails that were open to our friends and neighbors in the past.
The trails that are currently open are shown on this map.

There are three easy access points to the trails on the west end of the farm. The east end is in active farming and their are often large tractors working.
- The main entrance is at 1089 North Pleasant St. You are welcome to park near the old farm store and walk from this point.

2. The second entrance (number 2 on the map) is from either the east end of Hobart Lane or from the UMass Agricultural Learning Center.
Starting from the northern edge of the Agricultural Learning Center field, look for the sign.

Then turn around, facing north and you will see the trail that leads over to Hobart Lane. This is the black line on the map. It winds around.

Follow this path to the end of Hobart Lane and turn right (east) up the next path which takes you over to the farm.

3. The third entrance (number 3 on the map) starts on the corner of Rolling Ridge and Oakwood Circle and meanders north through the Rolling Ridge Conservation Area. This is the entrance on Rolling Ridge.

We are doing our best to keep these trails open for your use (dogs are welcome but please pick up the poop).
